Today, while I was at the Water Festival...Jamie did the chores, grocery shopping and planned dinner. Folly came over and this is how our evening unfolded...
First, Folly made a pie shell from a recipe she got from her mom. This was different than any recipe I have ever seen. Instead of butter she used canola oil. Instead of rolling she just mixed the ingredients in the pie pan and then mixed it and shaped it while in the pie pan. Amazing...(p.s. we tried a little slice with some chocolate pudding...better than amazing)!!!!!
Meal preparation. Jamie is awesome in the kitchem as the Sous Chef - or as he is better know - "Daddy Chop"...
This is Folly's Pasta Salad recipe. But, she bossed everyone around and gave us each a job...
Rebelling against authority...
The BIG Boss...
A gift for my friend...I give you hope...I hope...
I love my fella - I mean Cinderfella...Thank you for all your hard work.

Part of my job is supporting educational events to teach kids (and their parents) about water conservation. All of the water agencies in our area come together at Diamond Valley Lake to hold the event. Here are some shots of the event:
Leslie's cool shoes...
Come this way...there is so much to learn...
This exhibit teaches kids how much water it takes to make a hamburger...
An impeller is used to increase the flow and pressure of water so it can be delivered to your house. This is one of the greatest costs of water. Is getting it delivered to your home. Major sources of water come from the Colorado River or the Bay Delta. Both, hundreds of miles away.
Step 1 find a willing kid to color a decal...
Then you make the button. Which you can see here is serious businesss...
An important announcement...
Funny faces...

I recently took a Tai Chi Class. I have been wanting to take a class for a long time. I finally found an opportunity to plug into a class.
I did not have any idea what to expect. I went in with socks, slide off shoes and a yoga mat. A yoga class just ended. Class begins. Only one other student.
Class begins: Slow stretching and warm up poses. I began to connect my mind and body together.
Middle section: We did Tai Chi 10 and Tai Chi 24 movements. I have no idea what this means!!!! We moved slowly, slowly, slowly. Musical body movements is the only way I can describe this. I was able to actually get into a meditative state. I have been able to do this before with one my yoga teachers. I have actually caught myself snoring.
End section: Teacher works with students in their differnt levels. Me and this other gal were the only ones in class. The other lady had been there before so she began excercising with slow, martial arts-like movements - yet different. Teacher explained it that other types of martial arts were external while Tai Chi was internal. Teacher had me do the same repititive motion, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Did I say over again???????????? Eventually she gave me another excercise to do over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again ~ well you get it.
Final section: Do some of the first movements and go home.
It was a weird experience. Some parts I liked others I did not. But, I will definitely try again...

After leaving Kaiser and having dinner at the "Chizz" Cake Factory we drove home on Victoria Avenue. It is so unbelievably beautiful. Tree lined historic streets lined with roses, palms and elms. New and historic homes, citrus lines side walks and walking and biking paths...Ahhh, Victoria Avenue...
We took photos every time we stopped at a stop sign. Join us for our ride through Victoria Avenue...
Our dream home. Wouldn't this be great for grandkids? Lots of open space and places to play outside. No video games at Gradma's house!!!
Ok, maybe I am weird, but isn't this a sexy shot!!!
I love how half this shot is in shadow and the other in light. Just like our lives...
Riverside - Where life is green...
This shot took my breath away...
The money shot. I missed the real money shot because Jamie did not give me the camera right away. We got in a tiff over this. We fight over the dumbest things...
Is this a windmill? I don't know...
Jamie took this. He kept saying, stop here, stop here!!! I am glad we did...
What does this look like to you? It looks like two legs to me...
Speaking of legs. Jamie took this shot. He is for some reason fascinated with these darn tennis shoes...

After playing in the garden and getting my new glasses (see below) and cough medicine from Kaiser,we went to have appetizers and cocktails at the "Chizz Cake" Factory. This is how we say "chiz" instead of cheese...
Our bartender/waitress made the best Mojito I ever had...
For whatever reason---Jamie wanted me to take pictures of his shoes. If you wanna know why...ask him!!!
