A long time ago, Jamie and I tried doing a garden where the roses are. What a mess!!! Weeds. Too much area. Planting the wrong things - like mint, which took over and still exists today.
Jamie and I were talking about building an area in the year, but disagreed on the size. Also, who would do the maintenance. I think I found a solution...container gardening. Small pots, easy to water, no weeds, and you can grow most anything. I did some internet research and you can even grow potatoes. Here is the start of my garden - sage (which was in the old garden and somehow has survived for at least 2 years with no water), oregano and basil. And of course, the tomato plants we did with the kids.
I will post as the garden grows. I am so excited!!!!
Indeed, watching a garden grow can be so fun and exciting! Of course, keeping a large one can be pretty tricky with those weeds and all. Nevertheless, keeping your plants in a container is a great way to make things easy and simple.
