Somebody who sees the upsides and downsides to both the Republican and Democratic parties. Not necessarily a person who falls in the middle of the spectrum, rather one who has views that align and conflict with both major US political parties.

Some people are bisexual. I am bi-political. Depending on the issue or cause I can go either way...
Conservative
- Family values. I am ok with gay civil unions that give the same rights as non-gay citizens. Just call it garriage and not marriage. I will vote for it.
- Balanced budget. Jamie and I balance our budget at home. I want the country's finances to be balanced as well.
- As long as ab0rtion is legal I will support it. But, even while it's legal I don't want to pay for peoples sexual promiscuity. Pay for your own abortion. And, if it is ever illegal I will support that as well.
- I don't mind paying taxes. I just don't want to be overtaxed.
- I am all for non-citizens coming to this country. Just do it legally. And, contribute to the tax base.
- I believe in God. That does not make me stupid or weak. Don't judge me for my belief and I won't judge you for your non-belief. However, we can agree to disagree.
Liberal
- Environmental causes. I want clean air, water and species diversification. I support Green Peace, NRDC and PETA movements. I know they are bold and outrageous in their methods. But, sometimes you have to be to get the attention your cause deserves. They are successful in getting financial support and have some BIG wins for what is important to their cause. However, I don't believe in violence. I do draw the line there. But, if you look at these organization's staff, they actually recruit some of the brightest people on the planet. And, they hire fancy lobbyists. This is how a well run revolution works.
- I do believe in social causes. Homelessness is the issue closest to my heart. Here is where I am divided though. Should the goverment sponsor programs or should churches? Partnership between the two??? I think this is an opportunity for federal and local partnerships to maximize a strategy.
Now, my final thoughts about both parties. Jamie and I have been working towards the American dream virutually since we have been together. Building a family. Working towards retirement. Paying off our house. When we talk to some friends and family we are considered rich. How can that be? A teacher and a federal employee. Working class stiffs at best. I would consider us middle class at best. We don't have an extragant home. We did not buy into the housing bubble and use all of our equity. We are living the American dream, yes. But rich? No!!!!
So, if we are considered the elitist rich in America - that makes me afraid for the direction our country is headed and I blame both parties for that!!!!
