This is December 31st, the last day of 2011 and I guess its time to think about where I'm heading in 2012. Acutually I'm kind of excited about the thought of some kind of "semi-retirement" which should develop during the next year. I've given many years of my life to my chosen profession which is teaching young kids and I suppose I will keep on doing that in some fashion or another. But I do think it time to move away from this as a full time committed professional. In recent years I've worked as a support provider for new teachers in a program called Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) which I really like doing so I expect I will continue in that area. I also feel that at some point I will work as a college professor in the field of Education and teacher training. This should leave plenty of time for me to be "Papa Jamie" and hang with my grand kids. I'd also like to do more of my favorite sport "surfing". On that note I'd like to share a few pictures of my plans for a new home that I can use when I "officially retire".
Here's the local restuarant (see below)
Here's a nearby Airport you can use when you come visit me. (bring some rum & cokes)
And of course, "the View" from my bedroom window. (We ain't left yet? Whats up with that?)
So I'd like to end this little post by sharing the coolest song that I will be playing on a non-stop loop which was written and sang but none other than my good friend....Brian Wilson. (just for me)
