I guess it took the loss of my gallbladder to scare me straight about eating healthy. Recommended eating is low fat high fiber diet. It is taking me a long time to recover - both physically and emotionally. It is weird losing a body part and I am mourning its loss. I am taking it easy getting back to my excercise routine. Low impact walking is a must. This is easy to incorporate since Harley loves his daily walks. I also do a 20 minute Walk at Home program with Leslie Sansone (kicks are coming - inside joke). I am now starting to get back to yoga and pilates - but at my pace. I don't want to rush in and hurt myself.
I have begun to think about what I am putting into my body. I am low on potasium so I have been including bananas, drinking Boost and using supplements. I also need calcium since my osteo rating is -1. And, omega 3 is a must. Fiber, too for regular movements - if you know what I mean. So, here is a great breakfast that is delish and includes fruit, fiber and calcium. I take a carton of yogurt, add ground flax seeds with omega 3 and fruit. Look how fab this looks and so good for you. Yummy!
